Two-Fluid Micromodel Experiments

Average properties from computationally-generated random states Analysis Data

Using a two-fluid lattice Boltzmann method, equilibrium configurations were simulated based on random initial phase distributions as described by McClure, Berrill, et al. (2016). A quasi-2D micromodel system was used to provide the solid geometry. Averaged properties for each equilibrium configuration are listed in the attached file. These averages include the wetting phase saturation (sw), interfacial area between the wetting and non-wetting fluid (awn) and average mean curvature of the interface between the two fluids (Jwn).
