Luxembourg Sandstone (Carrières Feidt Ernzen, Luxembourg). This fine to medium grained quarry stone is characterized by abundant calcite cement and a multiscale pore structure (1). The pore space of the rock comprises a well-connected, but complex, network of intergranular pores, moldic (inside the calcite cement) pores and micro-porosity present inside the cement, partially dissolved silicate grains and clay minerals. The samples were cylindrical shaped with a diameter of 6 mm and a length of 29 mm.
