Zoomed in scan of OSU_1988-2_Sub-1. The total 3D image size is 1970 x 1970 x 1901 voxels. The diameter is 5.3 mm and cylinder length of 5.1 mm. This image contains the width of the vein, with a small amount of the original matrix rock included. Most of the image contains the elongated dolomite crystals which grew on the original fracture surface. In the center of the vein is a mixture of smaller crystals of calcite and iron-rich dolomite. In some places, there is silica precipitation which appears as dark gray. In other places, there are large vuggy pore spaces at the center of the vein, which appears as black.
