The sample has a diameter of 4 mm and a length of 20 mm. The sample was first saturated with brine (15 wt% KI, 1.09 wt% NaCl, 0.02 wt% MgCl2*6H2O, 0.11 wt% CaCl2*2H2O in de-ionized water). Drainage was then performed with crude oil setting a pressure gradient of 5 MPa. After the injection of 2.5 ml of crude in the sample, it was stored immersed in crude in an oven at 80°C for 30 days. Waterflooding was then performed at 0.015 ml/min and an injection pressure of 3.5 MPa for a total of 40 pore volumes.
