Calibration experiments - high quality pre-scan, tomographic data Origin Data
o A higher quality scan of the sintered glass sample (6 mm diameter) saturated with demineralized water was acquired in 24 minutes. The EMCT micro-CT scanner (designed and built in collaboration with TESCAN XRE, Belgium, www.xre.be) at UGCT (Ghent University, Belgium, www.ugct.ugent.be) was used with an accelerating voltage of 120 kV and a target power of 6 W. The scan consisted of 2201 projections. The raw data was reconstructed to a 3D volume using Acquila (TESCAN-XRE, Belgium). The reconstructed voxelsize was 6.5 µm. After resampling and registration to the fast scans the voxelsize was 12.95 µm.
